The world will tell you there’s no one truth—truth is your truth and what you believe. God will tell you that there’s absolute truth. His truth. What side of the continuum do you claim? When Satan can manipulate you to believe your own truth, you will defend and be his strongest alley and soldier without ever realizing the wickedness you are wielding.
Those who have a spiritual connection with God know there is only one truth—the truth of our Creator. In today’s political climate, the divide continues to widen and strengthen. Those who know God are barraged by the liberal agenda to succumb to its way of thinking. Not a surprise since the devil is at work on earth to destroy humanity by using misguided humans. As Christians run or succumb, where do those left standing go to seek rest, find their tribe, and recharge their energy.
Today’s story reminds me of the final days of David and Saul in the book of Samuel. David was the anointed king of Israel, but Saul was not prepared to give up his throne. David was a man after God’s heart. To escape death, David escaped and sought refuge in the Cave of Adullam (1 Samuel 22). Who gathered to him? Those who were in distress, in debt, or discontented—about 400 men in total followed David.
